I've babysat, pet-sat and house-sat in the past, on and off, for many years up until this present day! I'm also an experienced Mom & Grandma that has always loved children from when I was a young teenager! I have volunteered in the past at my church in different capacities working with children. Between October of 2018 and January of 2019, I did volunteer work at the Community Outreach Center working primarily between 4-7-year-olds as a teachers helper, one day a week. After that, I started a job as a babysitter of 6-year-old twin boys, and that lasted between February of 2019, until March of 2020, when Shelter-in-Place started. I also did pet-sitting and house-sitting at times, for the family I worked for as well! I currently am just finishing a position with a family that I've been blessed to be with for a year! We had the pleasure of hiring Joy through Care.com when we were searching for someone to care for our baby girl who was on a G-tube feeding at the time. Joy was patient and learned the feeding process quite well. Now that our girl is almost 2 and is not on g-tube feeding, Joy has been helpful with the transition of solid foods. Joy plays with her, sings songs, and teaches her colors, ABCs, and loves reading books together. While Joy primarily cares for our youngest daughter, she has also been fantastic with our older daughter, who is 6. Although she doesn't watch her all the time, when she does, it's been nothing short of great. Joy engages her in activities and ensures she feels included and cared for, which we really appreciate. We couldn't be happier with the love and care Joy provides for both of our daughters.
