About Joy

I started working with kids when I was helping entertain younger kids in my Church's Childcare, I would just sit on the floor and play with the younger kids for hours. Also helping serve food and clean up. I did that for years, also working in nursery. Later I babysat my younger siblings, and my cousins, helping my Mom, and then on my own once I was older. Finally I started volunteering with elementary and middle-school age kids at my Church, and did childcare for toddlers there. Then I baby sat in home for a few months for their mom. I teach Sunday School to 2nd-5th graders. I have tutored older kids also and supervised homework. I've been around kids my whole life, and I communicate with them easily and know how to be both firm and understanding. I have worked for several families through care, some for several months.
