About Joy

Hi, I'm Joy! I'm thrilled to find new families to connect with! I'm flexible, easygoing, fun, friendly, and sincerely interested in the privilege and responsibility of nurturing kids. I've been a professional nanny for the last 7 years, caring for kids 5mos-12yrs, and graduated in 2022 from Moody Bible Institute with a degree in elementary education. I teach second grade in Chicago. With an intuitive educator's perspective, I encourage real life, engaging activities and adventures to intentionally develop children's physical, social, and emotional health. I strongly favor healthy choices like fruits and vegetables for snack/mealtimes, although I will respect and adapt to whatever lifestyle a family chooses. I'm willing to help with basic homework and/or light housework. I have my own transportation, as well as an active, valid license, and am willing to drive your vehicle. I don't smoke--never have, never will.
