About Josselyn

I have a 9-year-old niece, a 3-year-old niece, and a 7-year-old nephew whom I have helped look after since they were babies. I enjoyed playing outdoor games and reading to them. I am used to handling conflicts between them, and I have experience caring after minor scrapes and bruises from accidents. I am patient and responsible, and I like caring for children. I attend Johns Hopkins University, and I recently made the Dean's List this past term. I have the most experience looking after ages 4 to 14. In eighth grade, I volunteered in a third grade classroom, helping children with their schoolwork. In my junior year, I also volunteered in a first-grade classroom assisting the students with their garden projects, reading to the students, and even organizing a science lesson plan. In my senior year, I tutored three middle-school students in math-meeting for about two hours each week to review quizzes and do practice problems. I look forward to helping families out this summer!
