Joy M. Kindergarten Teacher Santa Rosa City Schools It is with extreme pleasure that I write a recommendation letter for Joshua C. I have known Joshua for more than eight years, and also lived with him in my home, along with my two children for nearly two years. I consider Joshua a dear friend and amazing human being. Joshua is trustworthy, reliable, mature, patient, kind, fun, and an overall wonderful person. He truly knows how to connect and engage with children, as well as elderly adults and individuals with special needs. I write this letter to convey what immense character Joshua demonstrates on a daily basis. Through the years, I have had the pleasure of watching Joshua engage with children both in my classroom, home, and in public forums. During the Covid lockdown, my daughter, who was 15 at the time, was struggling in school. Joshua was so supportive and helped her with both her emotional and academic challenges. One time in particular, she had to make a video for her Spanish class. Joshua spent hours making cue cards and rehearsing with her. He made this daunting project fun for her and the tears were replaced with laughter, as they collectively made this video. It was heartwarming for me to witness. Joshua has also worked in my kindergarten classroom and is always enthusiastic and intuitive with my students. Not only have I observed his interactions with my students and my own children, Joshua is also an amazing caretaker for his autistic twin brother, senior dementia client and a young autistic boy, D. On many occasions, I have consulted with Joshua regarding his clients and he truly has a gift when it comes to care and understanding the needs of hi clients. Not everyone has the necessary compassion and patience to do such care for others. In recent days, Joshua has even assisted with my mother’s dementia care. Joshua possesses so many critical skills for optimal caretaking. If I were in need of a nanny or caretaker of any kind, I would not hesitate hiring Joshua for this important position. I can't recommend Joshua's services enough to families in need of a hard-working, honest, bright, knowledgeable and caring employee. He is a true gem.
