About Josephine

I love helping the elderly, listen to those long time stories they tell wholeheartedly. At first when my grandma became sick and was diagnosed with dementia I did not understand anything about the condition and aging. But the family decided we were going to take care of her at home and each of us had a specific day to be with her and help her with everything from bathing, companionship, and even feeding her when she became more disoriented. This was an eye opener for me because this experience taught me about growing old and that the elderly need love, respect, companionship, need to be heard and it is not like the like their condition but is a life process and non can stop it. Since then have happily served as a caregiver.
