This is the background check we require for all caregivers.
Experience: 4 yrs
Individuals observe children as being young and naive but in reality kids are the future of our society. Growing up with younger siblings I always took that into consideration. I always treated my younger siblings as though they were my equal. I counseled them on what was right and wrong. Showed them the basic rules on how to be a good caring person aswell as how to respect you're elders.

Poor work ethic, unprofessional behavior and bad/non-existent communication! We hired her for a long term position of a part-time after-school sitter for my 5 & 8 year old kids in May 2024. After working for around a week, one day she texted us the very last minute that she wont be able to come that day, giving us a reason that was far from credible and very obviously made up. However we still played along pretending she is telling the truth, even though we were left scrambling to find someone to pick up our kids from school. But the worst part was that she never cared to update us about when/if she plans to come back. Even if her plans were uncertain, it was only right to inform us as such. Even after a couple of gentle follow-ups over next 5 days, she chose to ghost us completely and and left us hanging, wondering whether we should start searching for a new nanny or wait for her reply. We haven't heard from her ever since. Its totally fair if she didn't want to work with us anymore for any reason - but lying to us and then disappearing without any notice, leaving us to guess what she might be up to - that's unarguably classless and immature. If you want to quit, go ahead and please do, but at the very least be a professional and inform us! As for the few days that she actually worked with us, she was mediocre at best - sometimes slipping up on the tasks in her job description that she should have done without being asked to. She needed to be reminded constantly of her obvious tasks and took little ownership of her responsibilities. She was sweet with the kids, but had no idea how to handle the situations when they were not in the mood to comply (eg. "I don't want to shower, I want to play some more time") .. she failed to step up and be the grown up in such situations. We had to come home tired at the end of the day and finish up her tasks ourselves even though we were paying her to do them.
