About Jose

I'd describe my personality as motivated, caring, and adaptable. I have often babysat for many friends and family members, and helping care for my little brother before I left home for college. I believe children need positive, dependable influences in their lives. They are our future, and I would love the opportunity to help them grow by encouraging kindness, confidence, good values, and healthy habits. I started working with kids when I was around 10 years old, mostly babysitting for family and close friends. I didn't start getting paid until I was 16, when I began babysitting regularly for a friend's family. One thing families should know about me is I am very reliable. My skills include patience, being caring, and being encouraging. I also want the children to feel safe, loved and comfortable around me. I'm naturally optimistic and enjoy encouraging kids to believe in themselves, and understand that they can accomplish their goals when they work hard and don't give up.
