About Josef

Growing up in a big family gave me the skills to take care of youth and teens at all ages. I have tutored, babysat, and pet-sat for 10+ families. I've taken Red Cross and DCS courses to stay informed on the various ways to address childcare needs and emergencies and I've taken care of children with special needs, dietary restrictions, allergens, etc. I take a Montessori approach to learning. I believe that ensuring the conceptual ideas behind the problem or assignment are understood is more important for long term educational growth and development than just giving answers. I started tutoring when I was 12 years old. I'm looking to help younger students achieve educational success. My personality is enthusiastic and encouraging. My skills include re-imagining explanations, patience, and communication. In my spare time, I like to read and write. I spend most of my time doing homework for my journalism and PR classes. But I also spend many hours at the fashion lab for my minor.
