About Jordan

My passion for working with children began in 2009 when I volunteered at a children's center. There, I assisted teachers in carrying out their daily lessons, helped to ensure students worked on developing key skills for kindergarten, prepped and served healthy meals and, above all, ensured that each child was happy and safe until their parents picked them up. I volunteered there until 2012. In 2015, I moved to New York to pursue my graduate degree and developed a passion for teaching. Over the course of two years, I worked at a Montessori and IB middle school, developing creative writing programs to help students refine their language arts skills and explore their creativity. In 2017, I moved back to Hawaii and began teaching at a small, IB private school on Oahu. Over the course of 3. 5 years, I taught English to a variety of different students, from 8th to 12th grade, and developed strong relationships with students that helped them thrive both academically and personally.
