About John

I am a university student who is wrapping up a Masters degree in physics and is heading to the University of Washington in the fall to pursue a PhD. During the summer I am looking to pick up some tutoring jobs to help cover moving expenses. I have about one year of paid teaching/tutoring experience. I was a graduate teaching assistant for Algebra and a Calculus based general physics lab at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs where my responsibilities included lecturing on each lab and grading/evaluating student lab reports. In addition I have worked for two semesters as a Peer Assisted Study Session (PASS) leader at the UCCS Math Excel center where my main responsibilities included organizing study sessions for students, picking practice problems to best develop the students problem solving and collaboration skills. I graduated from UCCS with a Bachelors degree in Physics and a Bachelors degree in Mathematics.
