I believe that responsible care is important- but it's also the bare minimum! I think connecting with a child on a personal level, empowering their growth, confidence, comfortability, etc is something that has a huge impact on children. as someone from a troubled background, the care-givers and tutors that helped look after me made a HUGE impact on me personally. these are adults that carried the wisdom mentioned above, and I still think about them today.
