About Johanna

My name is Johanna but I go by Joey! I have a sibling 10 years younger than me and took a huge part in caring for them! I am very artistic, creative, and kind. I love to cook and clean. My values include treating children with respect and kindness. I also frequently care for my elderly grandmother. I have had many pets throughout my life including cats, dogs (big and little), guinea pigs, mice, rats, chickens, turtles, tortoises, birds, and hermit crabs! I am very comfortable with animals. I'm looking for a job that is flexible with scheduling. I'm looking for either steady part time work or one off gigs! I started working with kids when I was 10. I learned to care for my newborn sibling from that age and onwards. At 14 I began babysitting and working at a summer camp with kids who had just finished kindergarten. At 16, I began partaking in a program at my high school that allowed me to work with kids in a preschool and taught theory of child development and early education.
