I have been a caregiver for 22 years. I've worked in nursing homes, rehab centers, private home care and I've worked for home care agencies. I have helped numerous people from different age groups with ambulation, medication, bathing, dressing, wound care, Dr. visits, shopping, errands, laundry, cleaning, meal preparation, range of motion-(ROM) exercises, PT and OT exercises, speech, pet care, yard work and helping people maintain their hobbies. (ex. gardening, reading, bird watching, painting etc.) Over the years I have helped people who have had MS, heart disease, stroke's, diabetes, Alzheimer's, knee and back surgeries, TBI-traumatic brain injury, quadriplegics, the elderly, the middle aged and children. I have been taking care of people, especially the elderly, over half my life. I like taking care of people. References are available.
