Hi, I'm Jo-Ann! Growing up with two parents who are teachers, I've always seen the importance of education. Once I was able to start applying for jobs, I immediately wanted to work with children, whether that be taking care of them or tutoring them. For 5 years, I have worked at summer camps as an English and math teacher assistant. For 3 years, I've been working at JEI Learning Center where I teach kids ages 5-15 math, English, and history topics. I have had babysitting/tutoring jobs in the past where I learned valuable skills for future children/teenagers. Throughout high school, I have challenged myself by taking college and AP courses. I have taken several AP exams and have only received scores of 4 and 5. My final high school GPA is 4. 0 and I was in the top 10% of my class. I don't trust anyone in my family the way that I trust Joann with my kids. From day 1, she has showed us what it means to have someone compassionate, responsible, and PATIENT care for our 4 kids. 4 kids is a lot to handle, but she was able to handle them all fabulously each and every time. We have a 5 year old, a 7 year old, and two teenagers. When she's gone, they ask about her and when she's at our place, they stick to her like a magnet. She has always been able to find a nice balance with all four and give them each the attention that they want. Joann also tutors my teenagers in algebra, writing, and reading subjects and they are much more confident in their knowledge of the material. She is an amazing babysitter and an even more amazing tutor!
