About Joanna

Working with children has been my dream and lifestyle for as long as I can remember. I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old and tutoring local kids in my hometown for their middle school education since I was 14! For all four years of high school I taught religious education to first graders. I also work at a recreation program for children and adults with autism and Down syndrome when I'm in my hometown in New York. I volunteered there for three years, starting at the age 14, before I applied for a paid position. Out of the 120 people that applied, I was 1/22 to get the job. I'm also an early childhood education major at the University of South Carolina and aspire to work with young children with disabilities. I'm in my senior year of college and a dedicated member of the sorority, Alpha Chi Omega. In my free time I love to cook and read!
