Joanna has been a godsend for our 11th grader. She certainly knows her subject matter, but even more importantly, can convey it in a way that is heard and understood. She is able to really connect, even on days when our student is feeling overwhelmed. In addition to helping make assignments understandable, Joanna has instilled a sense of confidence and a positive way of approaching school work (and life) that carries on in school and even outside the classroom.
