About Jj

I have 5+ years working with children aged 6 weeks to 12 years old. I worked at the YMCA in childcare for three years, then as an afterschool chess and LEGO instructor for large groups of kids, and have experience babysitting that goes way back to my high school years. In my spare time, I read a lot. I'm currently a Philosophy major, so it's a lot of reading, discussion, and writing. I love it! Outside of that, I also work on traditional art, exercise, make jewelry, and do lots of other things. I'm always trying something new. My traits which help most when working with kids would be my curiosity and patience. I'm willing to do any activity to keep kids engaged, and I love talking to them about what's going on in their minds. Learning how kids see the world better helps me connect with them!
