About Jinyi

Hi, host families! I'm Jovie, a professional early childhood teacher with a degree in Education. I have about 6 years of experience caring for young children in China, including 4 years as a kindergarten teacher. I then worked for a well-educated family as a private tutor for their 7-year-old boy for 1 year and 2 months, fully responsible for his daily life and learning, from school runs and homework to activities. Through the Au Pair program, I came to the U. S., where my first host family is Chinese-American and I care for two girls, ages 5 and 4 - school runs, homework, play, piano, and bedtime routines. I truly love being with kids. I'm also skilled at Chinese calligraphy and would love to teach it. I live in Queens, have driven since age 18 (10 years), and hold a U. S. driver's license.
