About Jessica

Hello, my name is Jessica and I am 28 years old. I have been a caregiver for about 5 years. Currently I am working for a long term acute care facility in Shelby county as a patient care tech. As a patient care tech I pretty much assist the RN with vital signs and wound care. I also assist the occupational therapist and physical therapist with patient ambulatory. Outside of working for a healthcare facility I was a caregiver to my great-grandmother for about 10 years. After my great-grandmother past my grandmother became ill and I was also a caregiver to her for about 2 years. Currently she is doing well. I only assist her with grocery shopping and doctors appointments. I feel that being a caregiver is an enjoyable experience, because it gives me the opportunity help someone in need and to me that's a blessing.
