I'm also an experienced animal lover if you're worried about your furry children. Some of my philosophies: Unstructured play; limited & supervised screen time; routine; consistent parent-caregiver care; create a safe environment for children to explore in; establish healthy eating habits from the beginning; provide assistance while child works to reach milestones, but remember to be patient; every child is different - adjust accordingly; use manners to teach manners; schedule by the child's cues (for eating, napping, etc), not by what's convenient. Jessica (she goes by Ellie) has been an absolutely essential member of the family since the day she came in. She was instantly respectful of our own expectations and house rules. She regularly brought new development-appropriate activities to do with my son She also always does some fun activity for a holiday! Super cute stuff! If an issue came up that needed discipline or new expectations, she made sure to have a conversation with both parents so we approached it as a team. She very rarely takes personal time off, but she is VERY good about calendar management and giving enough notice to adjust schedules. I could go on for paragraph after paragraph about what a positive influence she has been on not just my son, but my whole family. Best decision I have made for my son so far. Hands down, STRONG RECOMMEND!
