About Jessica

H! My name is Jessie. I grew up in Tucson, Arizona where I worked as habilitation and respite provider for children with disabilities. In this role I learned from speech therapists, occupational therapists and behavioral therapists who created programs that I implemented with the clients. These programs assisted in cognitive, physical, and social abilities. Since moving to the Gorge, I've worked as a Preschool teacher in Hood River 2 years, then transitioned into substitute teaching and worked as a long term sub at May Street teaching social and emotional learning. I love to incorporate creativity and emotional learning activities into their daily lives. I feel so fortunate to spend everyday playing with these special kids. More recently, I spent the summer leading a Youth Corps partnered with the Forest Service. In my free time I like to paint, read and spend time outdoors.
