I really enjoy working with children of any age, and I have 20+ years of experience from previous nanny and child care positions (aged newborn up to high school) as well as in the non-profit education sector. I think child care/babysitting should be a mix of fun and learning while sticking to the guidelines and goals of the parents. I am flexible, creative and enthusiastic, and I try to encourage the children I am taking care of to be creative themselves and to enjoy each activity. We had a function to attend in DC and needed someone to watch our 4-year old in our hotel room. Jessica was perfect! She arrived on time (actually a little earlier), helped our son with his homework, played games, made up some fun activities and origami, played Legos, fed him, and overall was exactly what we needed. My son didn't want her to leave, and actually has asked a few times when he can play with her again! We are very grateful for Jessica, and if ever in the area again, will definitely give her a call. We give her our highest recommendation.
