About Jessamyn

I've been working with children in a variety of different ways for over 10 years. A majority of my work experience has been with the YMCA; in my time there, I worked as a swim instructor, before/after-school site director, camp counselor/coordinator and also helped out with the youth sports programs occasionally. After being laid off from my aquatics manager position when the company I worked for closed down the facility I've returned to my roots of working "front line" with children and its reminded me how much I love to be directly with children! I also have 12+ units for Early Childcare Education so I am well versed in lesson planning, not just hanging out with kids. Outside of childcare I'm a huge animal lover- dogs, cats, turtles, even chickens!!! I grew up with pets and feel empty without them in my life. I always treat them like a member of the family. When pet sitting I make sure to keep other people's non-human children as happy and safe as possible while they are gone.
