I have used care. com 15 years ago to find a math tutor for my son and it was one of the best things I ever did for him. That connection transcended math tutoring. As a nurse and a daughter who cared for my own parents on their journeys with Alzheimer's disease and other complicated medical conditions, I know how difficult and overwhelming caring for loved ones can be. It was difficult to trust the care of my vulnerable mom to someone. But when I did, it was some of that weight lifted of my heart. I have been a registered nurse for 28 years, and a social worker before that. At this stage of my nursing career and life, I really want to give care in a different way. More personalized without the toll of hospital or facility nursing on my body. I know from experience that going through an agency is more costly. Care. com is a wonderful alternative. I am clinically competent, kind and compassionate. I look forward to continue to serve and create connections.
