About Melina

Excited you're here! My name is Melina & I'm a local tutor/homeschool teacher. I have 8+ years experience and a B. S. in Mathematics & Economics from UC San Diego. I enjoy camping, hiking, snorkeling (with sharks!), lake days, reading and oh - I absolutely love my job! I provide in-home & virtual help in all subjects K-8 and all math up to & including Algebra/Calculus/Statistics. I work full time and take weekly clients with a min 2 day commitment. In the past 4 years, I have specialized in helping homeschool families & providing supplemental tutoring. Many of my contracts have been with struggling readers K -2, homeschool help and accountability, and in-depth math tutoring. I am not a "one size fits all", I approach every student differently although I do love keeping things engaging & fun! I'm currently filling my schedule for Summer 2024. My goal is to prepare students for the next school year and keep them engaged. Scheduling will largely base on location.
