About Jennifer

My name is Jennifer and I am a certified teacher. I began working for the Independence school district, as a classroom teacher in 2014. During this time I also taught virtually, for the district, for two years. After my district stopped offering virtual education, I decided to make a change. Currently I work as a Resource Paraprofessional in the elementary special education setting. I lead small groups or teach one on one. We focus on skills needed to move forward in their education. I love teaching and the challenge of helping students understand what feels impossible. Often, the way a lesson is presented in the classroom does not make sense to the student. Sometimes the lesson just simply moves too fast for the skill to become mastered by the student. My overall goal is to teach, or reinforce skills needed, so students feel more confident in their classroom.
