I wanted to share the disappointing experience I had with Jennifer L. I had high hopes in finding help for my post partum journey. I was referred to Two Doulas and You by Whitney who seemed absolutely wonderful, easy going and helpful. I contacted Emily and she was able to have Morgan and Jennifer contact me for an interview. All expectations and details were discussed and everyone seemed to be on the same page. My first impression after the consult/interview was positive and promising. In addition to all the wonderful reviews I had read. I was excited. Jennifer then returned my call and informed me that she would be my Doula. We discussed my needs in further detail and we were ready to move forward with the contract after her background check came back. She had also informed me that she had her immunizations up to date and Infant CPR current. I then asked her if she could provide documentation of her immunizations and infant CPR and this was her response "It's all in my storage and I honestly don't have time to go dig for that so if that means I can't take the job I'm sorry. " I then told her that this was disappointing after she had verbally committed and ran her background check. She then replied "I'm sorry, just with being a mom and it being a large unit it's not something I can do at this time. " This was completely unprofessional , rude, disappointing and unacceptable. Not to mention time and money wasted. As a Mother I will not compromise the health or safety of my 4 week old, family or household by going on someone's word. Especially with someone I have never met, do not know or not have had experience working with in the past. The lack of professionalism and motivation lacked tremendously. Every client has different expectations and needs. This should be respected and treated with the upmost professionalism. I would not recommend working with Jennifer on the forefront. I cannot speak for the other Doulas in this group.
