About Jennifer

Hello families! I am a professional who has been working in the early childhood field for over 12 years. I moved to Maine in 2021 and was teaching at an outdoor nature school until my son was born in April 2022. Before that, 7 years were spent lovingly teaching 3-5-year-olds at a farm/ nature based magnet school. The magnet school ran on the public school schedule so I would spend my summers nannying and enjoying every minute of it. We would spend all day at the local creek searching for frogs and minnows, read and picnic in the shade, create art from or inspired by nature, and explore the natural world together. It's important for me to teach young children kindness, empathy, and respect for themselves and others through modeling these behaviors myself. I am inclusive and enjoy learning about others cultures and I will do my best to respect your traditions and customs.
