About Jennifer

Hi, I'm Jennifer. I'm a down-to-earth person who believes good care starts with listening, patience, and treating people like people--not a checklist. I worked in the dementia unit at Cedar Village Retirement Home and as an activities assistant at Chesterwood Retirement Home. Those jobs taught me that little things matter: learning someone's routine, sharing a laugh, or listening to a favorite story--even if it's the third time today. It's still a good story. I enjoy getting to know each person and helping them feel comfortable, included, and cared for. I try to meet people where they are and respect what they can and want to do for themselves. Some days call for conversation or an activity; other days, a calm presence and helping hand mean more. I'm not a professional comedian, but I'm willing to laugh at my own jokes. To me, good care means showing up with kindness, respect, and patience--and helping someone feel like themselves.
