With 27 years of elementary teaching experience, 11 of those years as a Reading Teacher and interventionist, I am thrilled to offer literacy tutoring for your child. My teaching certification includes pre-kindergarten through grade 8 with additional WI certifications as a licensed reading teacher and reading specialist. I can tailor a literacy program for your child based on their specific needs by incorporating recommendations from your child's teacher along with my own assessments. I specialize in early literacy learning that includes explicit phonics and spelling instruction. I also support vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension development in your child's plan. I value the importance of relationships with a learner and strive to develop your child's confidence so they may find success and enjoyment in reading and writing. I'm excited to meet your child and begin helping them develop a love for reading!
