About Jennifer

I'd describe my personality as Patient, kind and honest. I like caring for seniors because it's very gratifying to have the opportunity to help others that truly need your care and compassion. I'm looking for a job that enables me to be able to work with people while helping them achieve and live a happy, healthy and fulfilling life. My very first job was looking after my neighbors mother who had dementia and was bedridden. I read to her and gave her dinner. I cared for another neighbor who had diabetic wounds that I cleaned & dressed. My last job was caring for an 80-year-old diabetic man in a wheelchair. I helped with his prosthetic exercises, cleaned & dressed his wounds, helped him shower & dress. I cleaned his house, washed his clothes, drove him to doctor's visits and did light shopping. In my spare time, I like to read, kayak, hang out with my family and volunteer at a horse stable assisting adults & children with disabilities.
