About Jennifer

With 13 years of teaching high school English and four years of middle school Language Arts, my expertise ranges from journalism to research paper writing. Creative writing, Shakespeare, and poetry are my favs, and I can share my love of the subject with adolescents. Teenagers have been bogged down by standardized tests and the limited course of study. Let me get to know your student and use their strengths to bridge the gap that the rigorous testing creates. I have a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Grades 6-12 English Education. I am the mother of two beautiful daughters, and the grandmother of one cute little peanut. I live on a farm with three mini donkeys and four moody cats. My students told me that they are like blooming plants in my classroom. I pride myself on the relationships I build while the teens successfully grow in confidence and understanding.
