About Jennifer

I have always loved and cared for children. I began babysitting at age 9. I had a son and I did not want him to be an only child . I was a host mom for 2 boys from Germany, one from Brussels and a girl from the Netherlands. I then cared for a teen age boy, when his parent's job transferred them, he finished his senior year of high school. I did this two different times. When all of these children had grown and moved on I became a foster parent. I always cared for 2 boys but often had up to 5 teen age boys for a few months to a few years. I worked as a preschool teacher for several years. I then became a substitute elementary school teacher while I worked full time as an R N. I was a camp nurse and camp director at a summer camp in North Carolina for 3 years. As a nurse I worked in pediatric oncology for several years. I was also an ER nurse, I am now retired and am picking up jobs occasionally caring for people of all ages.
