About Jennifer

For the last five 1/2 years, I have been working with hospice patients in their homes and Oncology patients in the hospital. I am reasonable for making sure my patients needs are being met, taking vital signs, all personal hygiene, collections of lab specimens, assisting the registered nurse with wound care, foley placement and anything else needed. I also make sure that all the patents are safe, comfortable and I report any problems. Before I was a CNA, I was caring for my Grandmother in-law with vulva cancer and COPD. I coordinated all of her doctor s appointments, chemotherapy visits, radiation treatments, managed all her medication and oxygen. In addition, to preparing her meals, home care, paying her bills and legal matters. At this time, she is well and has returned to her home in Iowa. I feel I have the personal/work experience along with the passion to be apart of her care team. At birth my son had a stroke so I can relate to the stress, response-ness and being an advocate.
