About Jenna

I am an incoming freshman at UMD and planning to major in Chemical Engineering! I have about 1 year of professional childcare experience, I currently work for a local school district's before and after school program as a Childcare Assistant. I will also be working this same job this summer from early morning to midday. I absolutely love working with kids and the best part of my day is interacting with them at work! I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for every child I work with! I'm passionate about child development and helping every child become their best selves! Recently, I have been trying to practice Conscious Discipline when dealing with conflict with children, making sure a child is in the executive brain functioning space before addressing any issues they may be having.
