About Jen

I've been working with children (and parents) for more than 20 yrs, about half of that time has been in a classroom setting as an early childhood teacher, and the other half was spent as a home visiting lactation educator, postpartum doula and/or nanny. I also homeschooled my own two kids during elementary. I went to school for early childhood education long ago, but have stayed committed to continuing education throughout the last two decades, most recently I took a course on executive functioning brain development in the early childhood years at community college. My strengths are in art and socio-emotional learning as well as anti bias education and developing a strong concept of one's self as a learner and community member.
