About Jenee

I started working with kids when I was 14. I began with volunteering in summer camps and after school programs, As I got older I also took part in volunteering in the children's section at libraries and tutoring in reading and ELA. In my spare time, I like to sing within my chorus and dance. I am currently completing an associates of arts degree with the hopes of becoming an art teacher after moving on to a four year university. I also enjoy cooking and baking. As someone who struggles with ADHD, learning in school was very hard for me growing up. It wasn't until a teacher took the time to understand what I was going through and gave me a bit more attention to make sure I could succeed like my other classmates, that I was able to actually enjoy and feel confident within school settings. This is why that I want to be a teacher myself some day. I want to be able to give the same empathy and respect that many children, especially those who suffer with things like ADHD, don't receive.
