About Jean

I have known Jean W. for over 50 years. We grew up together and have remained close friends throughout the years. Jean is trustworthy, dependable, and very hard working. She volunteers in my second grade classroom several times each week, working in small groups or one-on-one with struggling students. Jean also creates arts and crafts with my students, and many of the crafts she uses she has bought with her own money. Over the past five years, my students have come to love "Ms. Jean" and look forward to her coming into our classroom. Jean is a very down-to-earth caring person. She not only helps my students, but also offers her assistance to the other teachers and students on our second grade team. Jean is a caregiver at heart. She cares for a 65 year old mentally challenged man whom she has opened her heart and home to. If not for Jean, this gentleman would have to live in an assisted living home. Jean also drives her mother back and forth to doctor appointments and recently spent three weeks at her mother's home cleaning for her. Jean has also taken care of her mother's lawn since the passing of her father five years ago. I would recommend Jean for any job for which she applies. She has the heart, dedication and commitment, and a strong compassion for children, the elderly, and animals of all types. Jean would be a blessing to anyone she meets and cares for.
