About Jeanette

Hi everyone. I transitioned from refugee resettlement to elementary education four years ago. I speak two languages: Spanish and English. I am working on becoming fluent in a third language. I have worked with children since I was in high school at an afterschool program. Part of my responsibilities include homework help. I cared for my nine month and 4-year-old cousins during my summers off from college. I previously worked for NYC Parks & Recreation as a playground associate. The purpose of the program was to keep kids active by organizing games and activities. In addition, I have 10 years of experience coaching volleyball (ages ranging from 10-18 y/o).
