As a Daycare Owner/Operator I provided care for up to 10 children from six a m to six p. m. for five years from 2003 to 2008 when my son entered kindergarten. (I would have continued with daycare longer but my husband made me promise to only do daycare until my son was in school). I cooked meals, made snacks, read to the children, did art projects with them, took them to the park or they played outside in the sandbox, on riding toys, on the swingset etc. I raised two children of my own so although I was ony paid in hugs and kisses that gives me 10 plus years of "paid" experience. I considered going back into daycare but after further thought decided being a nanny would be a better fit for me at this point in my life.
