About Jay

I am a positive and energetic provider with over 10 years of experience with little ones! I have worked as both a nanny and early educator here in Portland with infants, preschool, and school-age children. I am currently putting out feelers for a part-time nanny position with a start date in October; ideally this family will share my values of social, economic and environmental justice! Some of my favorite activities to do with kiddos include: neighborhood walks, gardening, art, and baking. Most of all, I love learning the unique pushes and pulls of each child's mind, and nurturing those interests accordingly. I try to practice a philosophy of recognizing, appreciating and redirecting tricky behaviors rather than a punitive approach. With my skills and experience, I can help provide a safe, stable and compelling environment for your kiddo(s) to grow in!
