About Jayla

Hi there! My name is Jayla and I'm a 29-year-old caregiver looking to support local families. My childcare journey began over 15 years ago when I took on my first long-term role caring for two neighborhood children (ages 3 and 7) while there mother worked. Since then, I've gained invaluable experience while in college working with multiple families, including with 2 children on the autism spectrum, which taught me the importance of patience, clear communication, and adaptable routines. While I have spent the last few years focused on my education and professional career; I would like to transition back into child care. I have a degree in IT but spent the past few years working in labs and medical settings. I have remained active in childcare by helping raise my nieces and nephews over the last decade. I'm returning to childcare because I want a job I can truly enjoy. I'm happy to help with pick up/drop offs, light housekeeping, meal prep, homework, and enjoy organizing activities.
