About Jason

My personality is creative, determined and outgoing. I like to draw, paint, read, craft and bake. An ideal day to me is art class followed by baking a sweet treat for after dinner! I like working with kids because I like getting to know a child's interests and doing activities that will engage them with the world instead of a screen. I like knowing that I provided a fun and personalized experience for kids to go to school and tell their friends about. I started working with kids when my little sisters were born, but outside of 18 years of big-brother experience I have been taking babysitting jobs since high school. One thing you should know about me is I am open minded and mental health conscious. I am LGBT+ friendly and happy to work with families of any and all religious, economic, racial and spiritual backgrounds. I'm good at deescalation and always prefer to talk through the source of a child's negative feelings rather than simply fix the attitude problem. All kids deserve empathy.
