About Janice

The joy of seeing a child's eyes light up when they learn something new is why I became a caregiver. My graduate degree has given me a strong foundation for understanding child development. I am a former teacher and taught grades 2, 4, and 5th through 8th in language arts. I'm comfortable caring for up to three children. I raised my own two children, a boy and a girl. They are happy adults now. :) My approach is patient, friendly, and nurturing. I'm a gentle spirit with a good sense of humor. I enjoy playing outdoors, doing arts and crafts, board games, puzzles, and educational games. I'm also very comfortable enforcing household rules. I communicate with parents through written daily reports and verbal updates at pickup, always following your preferred method. I have a car and am very comfortable with pets, especially dogs. I'm eager to bring my passion for childcare to your family.
