15 Years of experience caring for seniors. I'm an LPN. Cared for mother w/Alzheimer's for 3 years. She lived with me and my family (husband & two boys). She got to the point where she didn't know our names, but knew we were "her people". Helped her with ADL's. In charge of medications (ordering & administering), bathing/dressing, feeding & meal prep. I cared for my aunt, provided companionship, ran errands (did her grocery shopping, bought clothes, ran errands, etc.) She was very much "with it" but used a walker. Have also done private caregiving for men/women on Care. com: meds, meal prep, grocery shopping, light housework, laundry, dishes, Hoyer lift, wound care, ADLs, just being a friend and making people feel safe. Became a "Ya-Ya" (grandma) last year. Both of my sons had children. I have a 6-month-old granddaughter and a 1-year-old grandson that I love to spend time with in my spare time. Love dogs. Have 2 Goldendoodles and an Afghan Hound who think they are humans.
