About Janet

Janet has been a second Mom to our 4 children and a tremendous support to my husband and I. She has been with us for almost 5 years. There are times over the years where I felt she was an angel sent from god to be a part of our family. We met Janet through care.com when moved to Florida at the beginning of COVID in 2024. I remember thinking she lived too far away and her saying let’s meet and see how we both feel. She walked in and I immediately knew she was the one. She is kind, optimistic, even tempered, hardworking and absolutely loves children. Many nannies didn’t even want to interview with our family because they felt 4 kids would just be “too much”. Janet has 4 children so the idea of working in a big family was welcome for her. She has a special bond with each of our children and they adore and respect her. She balances pouring love into them while focusing on creating good well mannered human beings that will contribute to the world. We were building a home and there were multiple delays. We ended up bouncing from one rental to another for months waiting for a silly glass rail to be installed and she would pack us up and get us settled and tried to take the stress away. Then she helped us move into our home in Florida. 2 years into our relationship with Janet we decided we had to move to DC for work. When I called to tell her, she said ok. Please give me 15 minutes. She called back and said she was willing to come with us to create continuity for our children. I cried just like I am crying right now imagining what life will be like without her here. Since Feb 2023 she has left her home and family to support mine every single week. Her dedication has helped us get through a very difficult time. She is not only a nanny, she is the manager of our home. She manages the groceries, cooking, laundry and cleaning. She never sits down and somehow manages to create order and harmony in our home even with 4 little humans 8, 6, 5 and 3 running around destroying the place :) Janet is someone that will be a part of my life forever. She is a friend and I consider her family. I run 3 businesses and am in a season at work where I have had to put my head down and work really hard. Janet is flexible and always has accommodated my schedule. At times I need to travel for work and she is always willing to step up. I cannot recommend Janet enough. She deserves to be extremely well compensated. She will be worth it. If you’d like to schedule a reference call my schedule can be a little challenging, but I’m happy to accommodate for her.
