About Janelle

I have 15 years experience being a babysitter/nanny. I have experience caring for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school aged children and even teenagers (14 years of age). I have had four long term nanny positions since graduating college in 2014 with a degree in Elementary Education. My most recent position is being a nanny to 2 children, one 6-year-old boy and one 3-year-old girl. I have cared for them for 3 years, since the youngest was 6 months old. My responsibilities are planning enriching activities, picks ups/drop offs to school, prepping and providing meals, and keeping the children happy and safe while their parents are working. I have 4 years experience working in Early Education. Two of those as a Preschool Teacher Assistant and more currently, I worked as the lead teacher from 2017 to June 2019. Besides my degree, I have 18 credits in Early Childhood and many hours of professional development in many topics regarding early childhood education and child development.

In my opinion, Janelle is everything a family could want in a care giver. She is reliable, flexible, caring and smart! I have 3 Tween/Teen boys who are very active in sports and other activities, Janelle cared for them in an effortless and patient style that they thrived under over the last 2 years. When work forced us to move several states away we hoped Janelle could come with us since she feels like part of the family, and she is our definition of a Nanny, in fact, my youngest son stated "We're not looking for a new Nanny, we're looking for a new Janelle" I have no doubt that our loss will be someone else's gain! I cannot recommend Janelle highly enough!
