About Janeece

Certificate in Early Childhood Education from Butte College I was a substitute teacher in California right before I moved to Colorado over a year ago. I was a Garden Teacher/Nutrition Educator for one year as a Foodcorps Service Member where I cultivated a cafeteria experience that steers students towards the healthiest options. I taught elementary-age students to grow/cook new foods, which directly influenced their change in healthier food preferences. I maintained a school garden As a teacher's assistant and tutor I supervised students and provided support during summer school. I organized learning exercises to improve vocabulary and spelling. While volunteering at the Boys & Girls Club I developed and directed engaging physical activities with nutrition education messaging with a diverse crowd of children. My core values include: Community, health, nature, communication, creativity and happiness.
