About Jan

I'm a retired occupational therapist with experience working with people who are rehabilitating from a variety of conditions, and people who require long term care. I enjoy working with seniors to improve their quality of life. I'd describe my personality as optimistic, outgoing, patient. I like caring for seniors because I understand many of the challenges that aging brings. I'm looking for a job that allows me to use my knowledge and skills to assist others. I started caring for seniors when I began working in hospitals, mental health settings, out patient clinics, home health care and state facilities 40 years ago. In my spare time, I like to garden, weave, knit and volunteer. One thing you should know about me is I will do my best to understand and assist your family member. My skills include listening, observation and safety.
